For tax season 2021 our doors will be open, but we will be limiting in-person appointments and taking precautions to keep our staff and clients safe.

Documents can be dropped in the mail slot
at our front door, mailed to us or uploaded to our secure client portal. All tax returns will be delivered electronically. Paper copies of returns can be mailed or picked up.

Payments can be made online, by mail or over
the phone.

We can meet by phone or video conference.
Remote appointments can be made on our booking page.

Gooding O'Hara & Mackey, PS is committed to protecting the health and safety of our clients, staff and community! Please observe the following guidelines while working with our office this tax season.


Many clients find that their tax return preparation can be completed without an in person meeting. Please consider mailing, dropping off or scanning and uploading documents. We can work through your information and call with questions.

Other meeting options include phone meetings and video conferences with Microsoft Teams which can be accessed with a web browser or a free app download. If you would like a video meeting please contact us and we will email you a link for your virtual appointment.

Tax Document Dropoff

Tax information can be mailed to us, uploaded to our portal or dropped off in person. If you drop off in person you will need to use the mail slot in our front door. If you need to point out key details to the preparer, please write a note to include in the package or send an email to the preparer.

Tax Return Pickup

  1. Your return will be electronically uploaded to your portal. A hard copy will also be mailed or held for pickup depending on your location. Please return your signed Form 8879 (efile authorization) and payment to us either by mail using the included envelope or in person using the mail slot at our front door.

  2. Your folder contains everything needed to file your return. A Form 8879 efile authorization with an envelope addressed to us. A payment voucher if applicable and a letter with any additional information needed.


  1. A copy of your return and invoice will be uploaded to your portal account. Please consider printing your tax return at home and paying your invoice on our portal. Your hard copy and original documents will be mailed to you.

  2. In order to file, we simply need your signed Form 8879 and preparation payment. The signed form can be returned in any number of ways: mail, take a picture and email, scan and upload to your portal account, fax or drop off.
